The Will Power Ensemble is made possible through the generous support of The Goizueta Foundation.

Georgia Shakespeare seeks strong actors with a passion for theatre education to create the Will Power Ensemble. The Will Power Ensemble is a 4-person non-Equity group, with two females and two males. In May, the ensemble will officially move to Atlanta and begin teaching artist training, as well as rehearsals for an 8 month long tour to schools in the Southeastern United States. Actors will teach workshops and perform 5 education touring productions throughout the tour. Contracts are 50-weeks long, with dates typically mid-May through mid-April. Health benefits available. $400 a week.
Actors will,
- Act in the mainstage summer festival,
- Earn 10-15 EMC points,
- Take master courses in stage combat, movement, text, and voice,
- Housing will be provided during this time on the campus of Oglethorpe University.
Applicants should have strong training in classical theatre and hold a college degree in theatre performance. MFA performance degree is preferred.

- Accepted applicants will be invited to audition in your selected city.
Auditions
Auditions will be held by invitation only based on submissions, and will be held in three cities: Atlanta, Minneapolis, and at the Southeastern Theatre Conference. These auditions will take place in February and early March.
Audition Requirements: Two contrasting monologues, one MUST be Shakespeare, 90 seconds each, 16 bars of a song sung a cappella
Callbacks and Interviews
After all of the auditions, 8 persons will be selected to attend our finalists callback weekend in Atlanta, GA, to be held the weekend following the Southeastern Theatre Conference each year. Each finalist will be asked to submit a sample one-page outline regarding a 50-minute acting workshop of their favorite Shakespeare play, as well as 2 letters of recommendation regarding acting and your work in education, 1 preferably from a college professor with whom you have worked. More details will be given with the invitation to attend. Travel and housing will be paid for by Georgia Shakespeare for the finalist callback and interview.
