Bold theatricality, lush visuals, and soaring emotion collide in this poignant and comic new take on the classic Greek myth about loving with an open heart – and making difficult choices that test the bounds of that love. Through music, Orpheus and his beloved Eurydice find a new language for love. But when the two come to be impossibly separated, can the memory of what they’ve shared be enough to sustain them until they can be reunited? If you were swept away by Georgia Shakespeare’s stunning Metamorphoses in 2006 and 2007, you will fall in love with Eurydice.

Eurydice Letter Project

In Eurydice, a number of letters are written from characters in the underworld to characters in the overworld and vice versa.  The set will be covered with these kinds of letters, and at one point in the play, hundreds of them will fall from the “sky."  Director Richard Garner would love for these to be real letters from real people to real loved ones.
