Shake at the Lake 2008
May 7-11
Free Performance in Piedmont Park

"..Pure Lunacy!" - Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Carlo Goldoni's
The Servant of Two Masters
Translated and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Paolo Emilio Landi
Directed by Dan McCleary

Warning: This performance contains slapstick, silly humor and rubber chickens.

Follow the mischief-making, wise-cracking servant Truffaldino (Chris Ensweiler), as he tries to juggle the orders from not one, but two, demanding masters.  Chaos and confusion abound as Tuffaldino attmepts to conceal the fact that he is serving another from each of his masters.  But what will happen when it is discovered that his two masters have a romantic past?  This witty adaptation of Goldoni's classic commedia is full of over-the-top slapstick comedy, clever wit, punchlines and puns.

Recommended for all ages.

Shake at the Lake is made possible through a generous grant from The Kendeda Fund.

Additional Support provided by:

Bad Weather Policy

Georgia Shakespeare will make every effort to perform. However, if the case of inclement weather, we may have to cancel a performance.  It is our policy to hold the curtain for 1/2 hour in order to see if the bad weather passes.  Unless the rain is obviously not going to pass, we recommend coming to Piedmont Park and waiting out bad weather with us.  If we do need to cancel a performance, your tickets may not be used for another performance.
