Georgia Shakespeare announces the official launch of our Will on Wheels Tour!
This tour features four versatile actor/educators who will comprise our newly formed Will Power Ensemble.
These gifted artists form the company our 2009-2010 touring programs. In addition to their ability as actors; these artists are also well trained educators, ensuring that our education programming not only continues to meet the curriculum needs of your school or community but fulfills those needs at a deeper and more comprehensive level. These goals will be accomplished primarily in our companion workshops which will accompany each of our five Will on Wheels offerings. Excellence in Education is at the core of our theatre’s mission statement and this exciting influx of talent will inspire new initiatives and build on the award-winning foundation of our education programming.
This thrilling new incentive is the latest addition to our core of over fourteen education offerings that include; Georgia Shakespeare’s eight-week residency programs, in-school workshops which supplement the study of a specific Shakespearean play and our Teacher Training Institute now in its sixteenth year. These offerings continue to expand on a both local and state level while our always popular matinee series this fall features the exciting title of Julius Caesar. As we grow and expand it is essential to us that our focus remains a personal one. Programming no matter how vast is meaningless unless it involves relationship-building. That’s where you come in; we want to specifically cater to ever- evolving needs of your school, community and students. It starts with a phone call from our newest associate, Education Coordinator, Katie McCrary.
Katie and I are committed to collaborate with you to assure the highest quality of curriculum-based learning. So while we celebrate our growth we always remember our Education programs begin and end with you, the parents, teachers and advocates for your students! Give us a call or an email and let’s get the ball rolling!
