Come join the zany and fun Teaching Artists of Georgia Shakespeare as we explore some of the most classic works in a fun, modern, and creative way, from Shakespeare to Dr. Seuss!
Classes are various days and times, from February 9th-March 29th. All classes are performance based, and participants perform for friends and family on the final day.

Shipwreck!!! (3rd-5th grade)
Cast members become the crews of pirate ships and the British navy, as we discover the famous water plots and scenes from Shakespeare's The Tempest, Twelfth Night, Pericles and Comedy of Errors. Saturdays: February 9th-March 29th, 10:35-12:30 $175 Pro-rated rates available for late registration.
It's All Greek to Me! (6th-8th grade)
Shakespeare coined the phrase, and based many of his stories on Greek myths and folklore. Come discover some famous Greek plays and the beginnings of theatre, as well as some of Shakespeare's famous scenes that incorporate the Greek legends. Scenes from both time periods will be performed on the final day! Saturdays: February 9th-March 29th, 1:30-3:30 $175 Pro-rated rates available for late registration.
The Shakespeare Connection (9th-12th grade) Class members focus on two of Shakespeare's plays, one comedy and one tragedy, and connect to the themes and characters through modern acting, movement, and song styles. Based on the chosen plays, the ensemble works together to create an original performance piece through the group's unique and personal perspective, and puts Shakespeare's words into action! The final performance is presented in the evening of March 29th, on Georgia Shakespeare's mainstage. Saturdays: February 9th-March 29th, 10:00-1:00 $200 Pro-rated rates available for late registration.
Second Session
Acting Essentials (4th - 9th grade) The class will focus on creating characters and tools like listening, responding and memorizing. In addition, the students will be exposed to theatre games and improvisation as part of the class. A favorite story will be adapted into a play that will be presented for parents on the final day. Mondays: March 31st -May 19th 4:30-6:00, $175.00
